Norstar Recycling Pty Ltd, trades as Norstar Steel Recyclers.

Established in 1947 as Preston Metals, Preston. Norstar Steel Recyclers now has its head office located at Laverton North on a 37 acre site where the company has a multi million dollar investment in plant and equipment.

The core of our business revolves around the recycling of scrap metals from industrial, commercial and domestic customers.

Norstar’s logistics team, enjoys continued success and ever expanding experiences in the management of all scrap metals available on a global scale.

We have a management team dedicated to ensuring that Norstar Steel Recyclers grow its market share in a competitive and established industry.

Norstar Steel Recyclers process ferrous and non ferrous metal for resale through a variety of methods, including sorting, shredding, shearing, oxy cutting, baling and compacting. After processing, ferrous and non ferrous recycled metal is sold as a raw material feedstock, to local and international end users.

Norstar Steel Recyclers earns its name as a well respected, ethical and transparent operator striving to provide a service that is second to none in the scrap metal industry. Norstar Steel Recyclers constantly invests in state-of-the-art plant and equipment, adherence to sound environmental management and work practices, and the employment and training of the best people in the industry.

We are a Green Star accredited recycling facility

We are proud to be a waste processing facility that has been independently verified as compliant with environmentally responsible due diligence through the Green Building Council Australia’s Green Star program.

Norstar is accredited with Green Star’s Construction and Demolition Waste Reporting Criteria. This aims to minimise construction and demolition waste disposed in landfills and encourage recycling via a facility like Norstar.
