Over the 60 odd years Norstar has been recycling metals, we estimate we have recycled over 2,000,000 car bodies, too many Whitegoods to mention and thousands of kilometres of Rail line as well as numerous other scrap metals including trains, trams, buses, trucks, cranes and nearly every other vehicles you can imagine.

HMS - Heavy Melting Steel
Most Industrial or Commercial scrap steel greater than 6mm thick.
Examples - Plate, Beams, Columns, Channels, Merchant Bar, Farm Machinery or Implements, Metal Stampings and offcuts.
Most Vehicles with or without their original wheels and interiors.
Norstar also purchases all types of vehicle components.
Most Domestic scrap metal up to approx. 6mm thick.
Examples - Whitegoods (Fridges, Washing machines, etc), Roofing Iron, Hot Water Heaters, Water Tanks and Sheet metal offcuts.
Examples - Cast Iron baths, machinery, pipe and engine blocks.
All types and sizes of Railway and Tramway tracks.
Any type of re-inforcing bars or mesh usually used in the construction industry within concrete.
Usually the remains of drilling or shaping steels. Also known as Borings and Swarf.
Non Magnetic, hardened steel used in the mining industry, cement mixers, rock crushers, and other high impact and abrasive environments.
