Norstar Corona Virus Management – Update

Norstar acknowledges the increasing threat posed by the growing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus and is taking measures to mitigate the potential risk of transmission to our employees and our customers. We follow the evolution of the situation in Victoria and globally and adapt our procedures and the functioning of our company as and when decisions are announced by our Federal and State Governments.

Based on the advice of the Chief Health Officer, Stage 3 “mandatory face coverings/mask” restrictions will be introduced across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59pm on Wednesday 22nd July

Today, our actions target the minimization of the risk of transmission to ensure that our employees and customers are safe.

We are implementing separation of work groups and roster changes to minimise any potential exposure between workers.

We are reviewing and amending operational procedures in order to minimise and control potential risk of virus transmission.

We are restricting all non-essential visitors and postponing all non-urgent meetings at our sites and we recommend teleconference or video conference meetings wherever possible.

Any approved business critical visitor must be screened by phone or email in advance to ensure certain risk factors are eliminated. They must answer NO to all of the below questions and visit our office the same day or the following day.

All approved visitors must sign in and out, when they attend site and provide contract details, in the potential need to trace site attendees.

All visitors will be asked:

  • Any symptoms of illness, including and especially fever, mild cough or respiratory sickness
  • International travel the past 14 days
  • Attendance at any large-group event the past 14 days
  • Associated with any person that has a confirmed case of the virus
  • Associated with any business that has been closed due to a person with the virus
  • Close proximity to any person who would answer yes to the above questions

We are still operating as usual, or until further notice, with some of our employees working remotely. We will keep you informed regarding the situation as it evolves.

If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 03 9369 2099.
